MyGMC app not updating vehicle status since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal a week ago.
I have a 2024 Sierra 1500 and my vehicle status has not changed since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal in my truck 7 days ago. I don't know if there are any similarities but the vehicle stopped updating after the refresh. I have already done the power cycle of the truck (run for 2 minutes...off for at least 2 min...sign out of the MyGMC app and back in...have also uninstalled and reinstalled several times). I also have another vehicle in the app and it is updating just fine. The link seems to be the truck but not sure.

I am having the same issue with 2024 GMC Yukon. It last updated 13 days ago. I have tried all of the 5 steps listed above to no avail. I have also deleted the app and reinstalled it from a fresh download.
I can’t believe this is still apparently an ongoing issue after this length of time and with so many people having it.

I sent the requested information over a week ago and have not received a response. I’m still having the same issue.

My problem started when I renewed my Onstar connect subscription on my 2021 Silverado 1500 LT, June 4th 2025. The buttons and map work fine so far, just diagnostics don't.

Yup same issue, OnStar said my original premium plan wasn’t offered anymore. They gave me the new comparable plan and since then the diagnostic information has not updated.

I have the same problem and it started when I tried to update my OnStar subscription on June 24, 2025, for 2015 Chevy Tahoe, not only did it take more than 3 weeks just to get my account updated so that I could purchase the subscription. Once the subscription was updated the My Chevy App fail to update. I have gone through troubleshooting with On Star technical support twice, after the first session the milage did update however the fuel/milage fail to update. They have checked my system twice with no errors. Today I went through that process again still no fuel/milage update. They requested that I drive the vehicle and if it doesn't update call back again and they will escalate my case to a higher level. I believe something happened during the software migration process from Chevy to OnStar and they don't know how to fix it yet. This is very disappointing I've a loyal paying customer since 2016 now I'm frustrated

Same issue here. 2025 GMC Canyon AT4X. Hasn't updated for 9 days. updated perfectly fine at the dealership but as soon as I left it stopped working

Same issue on my 23' Acadia AT4, contacted OnStar about it, but Ahmed A. (GM Customer Care Advisor) wants me to re-explain the problem to every person in the email chain. Their power cycle and app log out/in BS procedures do nothing, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the app. How have they not fixed this issue in over 2 years?

Same issue here. App won't update with latest oil change and fuel. My app shows last status update 9 days ago when I purchased OnStar. Remote controls work fine. Just no updated status

I have been having the same issue with my 2022 gmc sierra 1500. I have spoke with about 30 OnStar people and no one has fixed. It. They tried to tell me it was my OnStar module. Went to the dealership everything looked fine they said

Hey Yasminef, I talked to technical support again to day after driving my vehicle and the app did not update, she basically asked me to go through the same troubleshooting steps, she read my case file, then said she would be escalating this to another higher level. What was ironic was she inferred that the problem may be with my vehicle, that really infuriated me because this happened when trying to renew my subscription to the ONSTAR ONE plan. Everything worked perfectly until that happened. What really mad me mad was that she hung up on me when I was explaining this after asking me. “What is your point?” Not only is the service terrible customer service is worse. I’m going to make a complaint but I have to go through a cooling down process first.

Im having the similar issue and have tried all the steps mentioned here and even took the car in for a 30k service on my 2023 Yukon. They said they didn’t know how to help. The app can start/lock-unlock the car but vehicle status since 3 months.
how can I get this rectified?

Same issue here. Hasn’t updated vehicle status for 10 days. Did all, reinstall app, readd trusted device, off/on, etc. sounds like everyone has issue. Customers should not have to be posting on a forum to get this looked at and resolved.

Seems to be an ongoing problem. Last update was 3 months ago. Tried all the “fixes” and no dice. About to save some money and cancel onstar.

Was this ever fixed for you? I’m having the same problem now. I have had my 2023 GMC terrain for one year now and all of a sudden, when I try to turn my car on through the app, it says “failed“. I googled somewhere and it told me to reach out to OnStar but when I push the OnStar button in my truck, it doesn’t connect to anything. What was the fix to this? I have deleted the app several times with no avail..

If the light is red, this may mean service is needed and a visit to your certified GMC dealership might be required.
