MyGMC app not updating vehicle status since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal a week ago.
I have a 2024 Sierra 1500 and my vehicle status has not changed since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal in my truck 7 days ago. I don't know if there are any similarities but the vehicle stopped updating after the refresh. I have already done the power cycle of the truck (run for 2 minutes...off for at least 2 min...sign out of the MyGMC app and back in...have also uninstalled and reinstalled several times). I also have another vehicle in the app and it is updating just fine. The link seems to be the truck but not sure.

I'm having a similar problem since I've resigned up to my Onstar service. App says vehicle hasn't been connected in 4 days yet I'm a daily driver. Anyone else?

We do regret to hear of any concerns with the Vehicle Status feature. To clarify, have you also had the opportunity to run a Power Cycle to assist in updating your vehicle data? If not, you can follow the steps listed below for further troubleshooting:
1. Turn ignition on for at least 2 minutes
2. Turn ignition off and wait 2-5 minutes (so data can be collected)
3. Log out of the myGMC app and log back in - this may help the app refresh
4. If the concern is still not resolved, please wait 2-3 minutes and refresh the app again, as the status can take a few minutes to update
5. Drive the vehicle around for a few minutes to allow data to refresh on the app

Same issue bought a new hummer ev and it updates every few days but remote controls never worked, and also from time to time it says my ONstar plan expired but called Onstar and it said it was active

So actually got a fix. In your vehicle make sure in the mygmc app ur profile is signed in. Mine wouldnt let me. So we deleted profile in vehicle. Then readd resign in vehicle. Once thats done sign back into mobile app. All working now and vehicle status is updating now.

On mygmc in vehicle u deleted profile? Then readd? Do the google sign in first. Then on phone delete app and reinstall. Then sign into app.

The only way Onstar was able get money to work was to give me a free trial of the top plan. I had the vehicle status and a lot of other stuff I don’t need or want. The day before that expensive was to expire I called and had them switch me to the basic connect plan. All vehicle status is visible. Back in March Onstar customer service told vehicle status is visible in the basic connect plan, Onstar Technocal support said there were changes. My truck is fine now and the vehicle status is visible.

I have had the same issue since my truck did an over the air update about a 1 or 2 ago. The only time that I get app refreshes are when On-Star pushes a refresh to my system. I have done the power cycle of the truck several times, uninstalled and resigned into the app, etc. and nothing works. I thought it may have had something to do with my Onstar plan, but my vehicle is connected through 2032 for all those services, so I just have the additional safety and security plan. It last updated 17 days ago, after I was on the phone with Onstar. I will also point out that they couldn't get my vehicle to communicate initially with their system for a diagnostic report, and only after power cycling and a few refreshes from the Onstar side, did anything actually get through. It almost seems like the system is able to receive, but cannot transmit data back. All the connected services like remote start, unlock, lock, etc work fine, but the refreshes don't seem to work to the app.
I also get an annoying pop-up in google maps saying that it's a subscription service and I don't have a plan for it.
I'm at my wit's end with troubleshooting it. The only time it works and refreshes is when I call On-Star and I'd like to get some GM technical support on what the issue is.

My GMC App hasn't updated my GMC 1500 since I Bought the On Star package 4 months ago. Tried all the things to no avail. I've read a bunch of replies but no solutions? Help.
