GM Car New Owners Please Check onstar Internet light on before buying.
Just bought my Chevy Suburban 2025. The dealer sale boy said once you get home just hit the on the Ceiling and connect to internet-onstar to sign into your car. But after failing multiple times and contacting onstar support they said it’s a hardware issue and they couldn’t troubleshoot my car due to no internet connection. Went to the dealer 30 minutes after buying the car and told them to scan it and fix it. They came back and said it’s the onstarmodule that needs to be replaced and they have to order the parts with no eta on part delivery date. After reading all the reviews here it’s scary that parts order are back ordered and on waiting list. I just bought the car with broken onstar module - it’s shame that Giant auto company like GM just this issue affecting all GM car owners. They have to fix the problem and make made in America product reliable. Hello I have 2020 GMC Terrain denali and the Onstar light turns red from time to time. Of course I was told I need to drop off at dealer so they can see what's wrong with it. OnStar Remote Access Plan no longer renewable?
i received an email about 3 weeks ago stating my Remote Access plan for my 2022 GMC is expiring at the end of March, and asking me to renew. Today, i attempted to do that, but when i click the "Renew Plan" button on the email, it takes me to the 'My Plans' web page for my account. i see the Remote Access plan description there, but no way to actually renew it. i chatted with an OnStar rep, from whom i gather that this plan is 'no longer available', and that i would have to get the 'Connect' plan (an additional $45/year) instead. I only got Remote Connect for the remote command functionality. i don't need the other things that i already get via my phone. So $45 more is not a huge issue, it bothers me more to pay for the things i don't want, and it bothers me more that OnStar promised me one thing in the email, and then switched to something else without any notification. just a bad customer experience.421Views1like4Commentsvehicle location feature
Hello, I would like to know which plan includes this feature and if it's possible to locate the vehicle without having to use the mobile app. Specifically, if I can locate the vehicle using a web site.
