MyChevrolet App Vehicle Status/Info Not Updating
My vehicle status, i.e. tire pressure, fuel level, miles, trip info, etc., has not updated in over 3 weeks. I've deleted/reinstalled the app, had a new signal sent, all of the things I've been recommended to try. None of these have worked. Please help!6.6KViews1like14CommentsEV features removed from app
I have a 2015 Volt and myChevrolet app no longer shows EV detail on the app. This includes charging status, range, charging options, etc. Also, the "vehicle status" detail that is shown is from 16 months ago (Dec 2023). All of this functionality worked fine a few days ago. I loaded and reloaded the app on multiple devices and they are all the same.12Views0likes1CommentClimate control from app
I have a 2025 GMC 1500 Sierra Denial Ultimate and I not sure why I can not control climate controls from my app, I have installed the app updated the app signed back in and still no climate controls on the phone , I have read on here that it was taking off when Google was put in the software but I also read on here that GM fixed that and now it works but I cannot see it on my app so not sure what Im not doing right or what's happening and suggestions? I recently purchased a 25 Chevy Equinox. However, I was surprised to find that the remote climate control feature—specifically the ability to set the interior temperature from the mobile app before starting the car—is no longer available. After contacting an OnStar advisor, I was informed that this feature has been removed for GM vehicles with Google Built-In. This is a handy feature, especially in extreme weather conditions, and was one of the reasons I purchased a GM vehicle. This change has negatively impacted the overall convenience and functionality of the app experience for me.Solved40Views0likes1CommentMyGMC Trailer Light Test
My GMC trailer light test functionality appears to have been removed or lost in the most recent update of the app - March 2025. I use this feature frequently. I called OnStar support today 3/9/2025 and they seemed confused regarding this trailer light testing feature. How do I get this trailer light test functionality restored in the app?341Views1like13CommentsI am trying to solve the Status Not Updating problem on MyChevrolet App. More clues...maybe
So, in my 2025 Chevy Equinox, one the options in the Settings->Connections menu is the "Vehicle-to-Phone Sharing". pic 1 below. If I click on it, my phone (nicknamed Paul's S10) is not listed. But also look at the description for what this setting does. (see pic 2). It looks like it is a must have in order for the Status info to be shared with my phone/MyChevrolet App. However, no where can I find instructions or help for getting my phone set up for this. My phone has always been setup as a trusted device, (see pic 3), so there must be something more that has to be done. Ok, Advisor Jack and Helen, take it away. Please consult your technical team. Please, please don't repeat to me instructions to de-install, reinstall the app, start and stop car, etc60Views0likes1Commentmybuick app problems
Going to make a separate topic, maybe this will help someone else along with me.... 2020 Buick Encore, app will not load/show vehicle status. (tire pressure, oil life, fuel left, etc.) It works fine for remote start, lock and unlock. Has been going on since I purchased vehicle Jan 28th or so. Vehicle shows on map, but will not do location alerts. Cannot change wifi hotspot SSID or password. Able to type a different name and password in the fields, but when I hit save, nothing changes. Same problem with buick.com site, under account, connected vehicle, vehicle settings, get the error message Whoops, invalid data or something like that. I have discovered that with the vehicle running, i can attempt to change the SSID and password with the app, it looks like it doesn't change, but then i can open the website and see in vehicle settings that it has changed. Then going into the infotainment Onstar menu, wifi settings, it has changed to what i entered. however in the radio wifi menu, settings, wifi, manage wifi networks, the name and SSID remain unchanged. ( the one with the car wifi symbol- cant delete it or edit it, only view name and password. Is it supposed to be there?) After an ignition cycle, the Onstar wifi menu ssid name and password change back to what is in the radio wifi menu. Onstar has a case open , I just get a call from someone about once a week, asking if it's working yet, and saying we're still working on it. At this point I have little confidence that it will ever work. Free trial is almost done, I will not pay for Onstar without this working. Losing faith in GM, Buick, and Onstar....12KViews5likes7CommentsMyGMC app not updating vehicle status since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal a week ago.
I have a 2024 Sierra 1500 and my vehicle status has not changed since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal in my truck 7 days ago. I don't know if there are any similarities but the vehicle stopped updating after the refresh. I have already done the power cycle of the truck (run for 2 minutes...off for at least 2 min...sign out of the MyGMC app and back in...have also uninstalled and reinstalled several times). I also have another vehicle in the app and it is updating just fine. The link seems to be the truck but not sure.9.6KViews3likes22CommentsPermissions needed for MyChevrolet App (and probably all the My GMC apps)
Like many here, I have the issue of the vehicle status for tire pressure, miles driven, oil life, etc not updating. I am using Android version of MyChevrolet App on a Samsung smartphone. I found that there was one additional Permission for MyChevrolet App on my Smart Phone, called "Car Information" that probably must be granted for the App to get/share the information from OnStar or wherever. Now, before you get your hopes up, this didn't solve the Status update problem for me, but maybe it will do something for some of you. Here is a screenshot. of the Permissions setting. Just click on Car Information and enable it. Maybe one of the crack technical advisors can tell us more about the what this permission does for the App. I don't remember it ever being mentioned in all their trouble shooting steps of delete and reinstall the app, login, logout, blah blah blah.65Views1like3Comments
