FYI...Trailer Light Testing Is Back
To all community members, if you missed it, I have some good news. Back in March, OnStar removed the Trailer Light Testing feature from the mobile apps, which was a major headache for many of us. The Update: As of the last couple of weeks, the feature has officially returned! You can find it again under the Control Tab in both the myGMC and myChevrolet apps. What’s Next? I’m really hoping this means Climate Controls are next on the list to be restored. They were removed around the same time earlier this year, and with winter hitting hard, having that functionality back would be a lifesaver. Keep an eye on your apps and make sure you're running the latest update!10Views0likes1CommentMy Buick App Location Not Working
My Buick app is not working for location services. I’ve followed all the directions, including ensuring that the locations in the car and phone are turned on. I’ve also removed the app, reinstalled it, deleted the locations, and then added them back. I’m at a loss and need help. I’ve also tried reaching out to the company via private emails, but I haven’t received any useful information.193Views0likes15CommentsMyGMC app won't send remote commands
My app is working except it will not send remote commands. When I select lock, unlock or remote start it just says sending for a while and then I get an error message telling me "Unable to reach Sierra 2500HS. Use key to start manually and restore connection." I have reached out to Onstar and GM support multiple times with no resolution. Onstar is supposedly linked to my GM account and all looks fine but OnStar cannnot reach my vehicle. My Onstar button will let me call Onstar just find. I’m having a very frustrating issue. I have a 2017 GMC Sierra, I have the onstar package so I can use the remote start app myGMC. I work at a remote site and fly into work. I work week on week off, so I park my truck in the parkade at the airport around 4:00PM on Wednesday. The following Wednesday I fly home from work and would be starting my truck around 10:00PM. This worked with no issues for several years… but for the last couple years, my remote start app has stopped working everytime I fly home. This is super frustrating because the biggest reason I got the remote start was so I could warm up my truck before I got to it. I live in Canada and it gets really cold. I park in the same area and level of the parkade all the time. I’ve even tried parking on the uncovered roof of the parkade. I will park my truck at the parkade, get out and test the remote start app and it works fine. I have tried starting my truck while at work, and it works fine. Right up until the day I fly home it will work. But on the day I fly home, on day 7, the remote start app doesn’t work I have to get in a cold truck. Is there some sort of battery saver that stops the onstar module from working after not being started for several days? Does it only activate after the truck reaches a certain age? I have no idea what changed because I park in the same place I always have. It worked fine for 3-4 years. But the last couple years it just decided to not work for me. It enrages me everytime I land and try to start my truck from my phone. Does anyone have any ideas?982Views0likes4CommentsMy Chevrolet app not remote starting my vehicle
I open the app and hold down the start button and all is says is sending. I closed the app several time and even logged off, but when i reopen it, its still "sending." What do i need to do. I paid too much for this feature for it not to work Also with this app stuck on "sending" i don't know if the lock or unlock buttons work. 😡Solved34KViews0likes10CommentsAlexa skill for My Chevrolet no longer available
I use a routine on my Alexa device to open my garage door and start my vehicle daily while getting ready to leave for work. Within the last week, I noticed that I wasn't getting prompted for my PIN to start my vehicle, and getting a message from Alexa that it couldn't connect to My Chevrolet. This has happened before and I would just have to re-link my account in the Alexa app. When I tried to do that, it appears that the My Chevrolet skill is no longer available on Alexa. Has it changed to something else?20KViews14likes56Comments
