MyChevy / MyGMC does not update Fuel, Trip, or Diagnostics
I have a 2019 Chevy Colorado with an active OnStar Remote Connection plan. Initially, everything worked perfectly, but two weeks ago, all diagnostics, fuel level, and trip data stopped updating. However, the map and remote functions continue to work without issue. Here are the troubleshooting steps I have taken so far: Updated my iPhone to the latest iOS version to ensure compatibility with the MyChevy app. Deleted and reinstalled the MyChevy app, but the issue persisted. Uninstalled the MyChevy app and installed the myGMC app (since I also have a GMC Acadia with the same OnStar plan) to test if the issue was app-specific, but the problem remained. Regularly drive the Colorado daily, so the vehicle should transmit data as expected. Confirmed the OnStar light is green on my mirror. Despite these efforts, the diagnostics, fuel, and trip data remain outdated. What other troubleshooting steps should I take?483Views2likes5Comments- 5Views0likes0Comments
Climate control from app
I have a 2025 GMC 1500 Sierra Denial Ultimate and I not sure why I can not control climate controls from my app, I have installed the app updated the app signed back in and still no climate controls on the phone , I have read on here that it was taking off when Google was put in the software but I also read on here that GM fixed that and now it works but I cannot see it on my app so not sure what Im not doing right or what's happening and suggestions? This app is terrible. Just started not updating vehicle information and cannot remote start my 2023 Tahoe any more. I receive the error message "Unable to remote start. Device disconnected. Turn on vehicle to reconnect". Had been working fine until recently. I can remote start with the key fob.39Views0likes2CommentsMobile app
The new mychevrolet mobile app leaves alot to be desired. I no longer get important updates of EV power status. The oil level graph is of no use since oil changes are only once a year, but no graph for EV power which i check daily. But my main concern is that the app always shows what the status was 7 days ago regardless of the actual fuel and electrical charge. So it's not updating in real-time when requested. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times without any success. I had a similar problem with the previous app where my location wasn't updating. Is this an onstar issue?66Views0likes6CommentsMyGMC app not updating vehicle status since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal a week ago.
I have a 2024 Sierra 1500 and my vehicle status has not changed since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal in my truck 7 days ago. I don't know if there are any similarities but the vehicle stopped updating after the refresh. I have already done the power cycle of the truck (run for 2 minutes...off for at least 2 min...sign out of the MyGMC app and back in...have also uninstalled and reinstalled several times). I also have another vehicle in the app and it is updating just fine. The link seems to be the truck but not sure.10KViews3likes26CommentsEV features removed from app
I have a 2015 Volt and myChevrolet app no longer shows EV detail on the app. This includes charging status, range, charging options, etc. Also, the "vehicle status" detail that is shown is from 16 months ago (Dec 2023). All of this functionality worked fine a few days ago. I loaded and reloaded the app on multiple devices and they are all the same.584Views3likes34CommentsMyGMC Trailer Light Test
My GMC trailer light test functionality appears to have been removed or lost in the most recent update of the app - March 2025. I use this feature frequently. I called OnStar support today 3/9/2025 and they seemed confused regarding this trailer light testing feature. How do I get this trailer light test functionality restored in the app?891Views7likes30CommentsMissing Remote Climate Control Feature in GM Vehicles with Google Built-In
I recently purchased a 25 Chevy Equinox. However, I was surprised to find that the remote climate control feature—specifically the ability to set the interior temperature from the mobile app before starting the car—is no longer available. After contacting an OnStar advisor, I was informed that this feature has been removed for GM vehicles with Google Built-In. This is a handy feature, especially in extreme weather conditions, and was one of the reasons I purchased a GM vehicle. This change has negatively impacted the overall convenience and functionality of the app experience for me.Solved225Views0likes4Comments
