MyChevrolet App shows Generic Image of Vehicle
Hello,
I have a 2024 Chevy Colorado. For awhile the MyChevrolet app showed the image of how my Truck looked. However, now it just shows a generic image. I know it's picky, it's just odd, the OnStar diagnostic emails show the proper image. Other GM websites/apps show the correct CGI image, just not the MyChevrolet app
For clarity the image it shows currently doesn't have all the factory options. However it used to show my specific trim, wheels, fender flares, etc. All would have been because of certain option codes associated with the vehicle.
I have already updated the app, tried clearing the cache, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, logging out and back in. I even tried using the MyGMC and MyCadillac apps, both showed the same issue. Nothing seems to bring back the correct vehicle image
Just curious if there is a fix or if something needs to be refreshed in the backend systems.

Hi all,
This issue still isn't resolved. All I was told in my case raised by the team was this was a known issue. I wasn't provided any ETA, fix information, etc. It appears multiple people have this problem. How can we get this resolved?

I have the same issue as the customer above (CM_Colorado) has. My 2025 Yukon Denali as a “generic picture” on MyGM app versus the actual picture of my vehicle (which that picture is correct on my Monthly Diagnostic Report. Were you able to resolve his issue (and if so could you resolve mine?

I’ve had the same issue with my 2019 Trax as well. It used to show up as silver until about a year ago, then suddenly something changed with the app and my vehicle now shows as black. I’ve spoken to many OnStar representatives, including Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and even Level 4 technicians, and still no one has been able to figure it out. At the same time, I used to be able to see my vehicle’s live location and speed, and now I can’t. I can see the location, but there is no live vehicle tracking or movement, and no speed showing. I am not sure what changed, but I am going to cancel my plan if this is not fixed by the end of the month.

Thank you for sharing this, @Zwickerta. We can understand the frustration that can accompany unexpected app issues. As an initial troubleshooting step, we recommend uninstalling and reinstalling your app, even if you have done so already in your previous connections with OnStar. This helps to ensure you have the most updated version for top performance. From there, perform a global refresh by pulling down from the top of the screen when in the Vehicle Status feature. If this doesn’t help to update your vehicle details and resolve your concerns, send us a private message to OnStar_Support with more information so we can look into things further with you. You can select the envelope icon at the top right of your screen to get started.
