MyGMC app not updating vehicle status since OnStar had to refresh my wifi signal a week ago.
I have had the same issue since my truck did an over the air update about a 1 or 2 ago. The only time that I get app refreshes are when On-Star pushes a refresh to my system. I have done the power cycle of the truck several times, uninstalled and resigned into the app, etc. and nothing works. I thought it may have had something to do with my Onstar plan, but my vehicle is connected through 2032 for all those services, so I just have the additional safety and security plan. It last updated 17 days ago, after I was on the phone with Onstar. I will also point out that they couldn't get my vehicle to communicate initially with their system for a diagnostic report, and only after power cycling and a few refreshes from the Onstar side, did anything actually get through. It almost seems like the system is able to receive, but cannot transmit data back. All the connected services like remote start, unlock, lock, etc work fine, but the refreshes don't seem to work to the app.
I also get an annoying pop-up in google maps saying that it's a subscription service and I don't have a plan for it.
I'm at my wit's end with troubleshooting it. The only time it works and refreshes is when I call On-Star and I'd like to get some GM technical support on what the issue is.
