MyGMC app not updating mileage, fuel etc
I’ve got a green Onstar light, checked truck for updates, says it’s up to date, and have rebooted iPhone and deleted/reinstalled app. No change. 2025 Sierra 1500 SLT diesel
Update to the status update issue. Status is now updating when I drive the truck. It is no longer going back to what it was 10 days ago. After speaking with the rep who contacted me I've been informed that there has been a change to the app and you cannot get an update without starting the vehicle. In other words if you check the status of your tire pressure in the app 12 hours after you last drove the vehicle it will tell you what it was the then not what it is now. I thought in the past the app would give you a real time status update but maybe I didn't remember correctly. I will say Onstar has been responsive to my issues.

I am seriously questioning the real value of onstar if it’s systems are faulty. Cut losses and cost. GM please remind me of the benefits here.

I have a 2026 2500hd diesel
My app doesn’t update sometimes it can be over 12days, been through power cycles and uninstalled/install app multiple times. When I open the app up top left the fuel shows 539 miles and 85% that’s been there since the first time I downloaded the app and it’s in correct . Not sure why it has never changed. Onstar can’t figure out how to fix the issues, as I’ve talked to them numerous times over the past 3 weeks.
We have two ford vehicles and the ford pass app is on the money every time you open it.
GM needs to get their team together and figure out the fix as it’s seems like a lot of people have issues with the app not being updated or inconsistent reading.- Advisor_CharlyModerator

The app isn’t updating can be days or weeks, it tells me to drive at least 2 min I’ve drove for 1 hr and still no refresh update.

That's frustrating. I have the same issue with my Silverado RST. It synced when I first setup after purchase, then didnt connect for 25 days. Finally called onstar and they did a manual scan which did update the odometer and oil life indicator (but nothing else updated) Going on 10 days without syncing again.

Did you figure out a solution yet? Having the same problem.

I had called OnStar again last Friday (the 19th) and after talking through the issues I've had with it since purchase she flagged it all for support to take a closer look. I hadn't heard back afterwards but as of yesterday morning and today both to and from work its been working and I'm getting updates after I'd turned the vehicle off.

I have everything updating on my myGMC app except for Fuel Level. I have deleted the app, reinstalled, signed in, logged out, logged in again, made sure my OnStar plan is connected and I still cannot get it to update. Technical support was not able to help me either. Has anyone found a solution for this problem?
I have had my truck for 2 years with everything working fine and this problem just started recently.

Having the same issue. Called onstar as well and did a manual scan, but they couldn’t connect and had no solution.

Same on my 2025 Colorado Trail Boss. Has not updated in two months and the onstar is being paid for every month.

ONstar support passed the case to the Engineering team and they resolved within a day. Not sure how but I woke up a couple days later and it was working and has continued working since. I got the email from Engineering that it was resolved about a day later but no details on what exactly was done

Fuel level is incorrect not 539 miles to empty nor 85% last connection was 8 hours ago

I’ve open the app like 6 times today and it doesn’t connect to update status.

My issue was sent to a higher level support team. I never talked to anyone on that team but the next day, everything was updating as it should. I guess the Tier 2 support team can do something in the background on Onstar's end to fix it.

I sure hope they do get this addressed!! I’m sure it’s not that difficult to fix the bugs, as they charged enough for these trucks.
Ford pass app like I said before works flawless

Does anyone know if this issue of not updating fuel, tire pressure or oil life has been corrected? My 2025 GMC Canyon has a similar issue. My commands to unlock doors etc. works but my vehicle status keeps reverting back to 10 days ago. What makes it even stranger is sometimes if you refresh the app it will show current status and say connected 10 minutes ago but as you are looking at it it goes changes back to status from days ago and says last update 10 days ago. I have spoken with 3 different Onstar trouble shooters and while I'm talking with them it will do the same thing. Show correct status then revert back to status from 10 days ago. The last tech said she would bump it up the ladder and someone would reach out to me. All techs I've spoken with have been very nice but the problem is frustrating. Never had this problem with 2 previous GM vehicles.

We are having the exact same issue with our vehicles. My guess is that a bug was introduced in one of the recent app updates.

That's interesting because I did get a notice to install an update which I did. Don't know if that created the problem because I've only had the truck since November 28th and didn't really use the app until recently. It did work on the dealership lot so maybe it could be the update. Wish I had used more before the update to see if it was working then. Sure hope they figure this out.

Having the same issue again. Green on star light but mileage and fuel level not updating on app. Says last connection was 3 days ago but phone has been connected several times in the last few days as I’ve driven.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to light, @Jelliott67. As an initial troubleshooting step, we recommend uninstalling and reinstalling your app to ensure you have the most updated version. From there, perform a global refresh by pulling down from the top of the screen when in the Vehicle Status feature.
