Has anyone pursued a LEMON LAW claim, just wondering....3 months of SERVICE EMERGENCY SYSTEM FAULT ON A 2024 Canyon AT4X

I'm curious as to how that would work with a backorder issue. If you take it to the dealership for repair one time and then have to wait unlimited time for the part, is that a lemon law issue? I'm doubtful the dealership is going to write up the necessary paperwork or allow you to bring it in three times for the same issue when they know they can't get the part?

In my case my car was not drivable. I took it July 1 and they did not have a loaner till the 13th . The part got to the dealership on the last day of the month. They put it in and wanted to keep it to thw next day they say to make sure it was good. Now had it been 45 days I could have pushed through with attorney . They knew that so they made sure to get it back to me before that point.

I just submitted a vehicle complaint to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) at https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem#/vehicle/vehicle-information.
I also filed a complaint directly with Buick by calling 1-800-521-7300. According to them, GM tracks all repairs (including OnStar modules), investigations take time, and every case is thoroughly documented and reviewed.
I hope every report makes a difference. Please consider doing your part to help everyone affected by this issue.

Thanks Shaggy! I’m calling Buick directly tomorrow too! Every report does count! I’m saving this number now…

Thank you for this information. Some of us did not know where to go to file . Doing this now

I hope NHTSA does something! I can't even get a chevrolet repair shop here in southwest Florida to respond to simple questions so that I can schedule my vehicle.

Our dealership here in Birmingham, AL has them on back order as well. That 900 number is not correct. There are much more reading from these posts and others across the internet.

Hi Jack,
You’ve been consistently polite and sincere in acknowledging our frustration with the ongoing telematics module issue, and I appreciate that. But at this point, I think what many of us really need is transparency.
Can you—or someone above you—please share a clear explanation of:
Why these telematics modules are failing in the first place?
What GM is doing to resolve the issue?
And most importantly, what is a realistic and honest timeline for replacement modules to become available?
A public update from GM leadership would go a long way toward restoring customer confidence. We’ve waited long enough without meaningful communication, and the silence only deepens the frustration.
Thank you for passing this along or responding directly.

Just had my OnStar system fail. Was trying to use the GAS for directions and kept getting a message that it couldn't connect. Nothing new there but usually because of location. Continued for a complete drive cycle. Deceided to call OnStar upon which I noticed no green light. After contacting them through a phone call, they tried to debug and re-start the system but could not get it to work. Trip to dealership. Just out of warranty at 3+ years, 32k miles. Found all of these threads on failures. Obviously not a normal situation. 2022 Tahoe RST.

Back ordered in NY and NJ as well. Tried two dealerships for the part. Question did any of you get a retrofit module installed as a recall before your Onstar modules went out? It’s the Park Assist retrofit module… let me know if this was done before your Onstar went out… I think I might have stumbled upon the issue here if it has…

My OnStar recently went out as well, and I'm trying to avoid another trip to the dealership for a fix! This seemed to happen around the same time as I got the recent software recall fix -- what I don't get is why GMC is not taking more responsibility for that and offering a clean fix.

I am owner of Chevy Equinox 2025 and your onstar telemaric module is malfunctioning cause to drain my battery making the vechile not drivable so there is no part available or ETA. This is really bad for Onstar that they have not come up with a solution and law suites are necessary as this would put them out of business. No resolution to this I will make sure to never buy any vechile or product that has Onstar. I want a resolution from Onstar and I will further my interests in a class action lawsuit.

Has anyone thought about taking this to the MEDIA? News outlets? Wouldn’t this be a great story for prime time? Let me know if anyone has connections. I’m camera friendly.
