MyChevrolet App Vehicle Status/Info Not Updating
My vehicle status, i.e. tire pressure, fuel level, miles, trip info, etc., has not updated in over 3 weeks. I've deleted/reinstalled the app, had a new signal sent, all of the things I've been recommended to try. None of these have worked. Please help!

I’m having the exact same issue. I bought my 2025 Blazer a week and a half ago and the app hasn’t updated since I bought the vehicle. I can use the features of the app but it won’t update the data on the app.

Onstar was able to resolve my issues remotely but I think the issue may have been the location service with the vehicle. Go to settings then go to privacy and toggle the Onstar location service off and then back on. Some Android phones turn location services off overtime if not used. You will just need to make sure all permissions are enabled. Hopefully this helps, it took them a couple of days but it's been resolved.

You bring up a very good point, @shanef . It is important to ensure that all permissions are enabled to ensure the proper functioning of all the amazing features available to our My Chevrolet app Members. @Blazer2025 If you continue to encounter difficulties after checking that these permissions are enabled on your end, please don't hesitate to follow up with us in a private message so that we may further assist with getting your app fully up and running again. I have free months until the end of Sept as I bought a New Corvette,,,suddenly it doesn't update? I shouldn't have to "upgrade my plan...my 2nd car still gets updates. And ta think they build cars for a living and thankfully not software,

Seems I always read the stock answer from OS...yet everyone replys to their "did you reboot, drive the car, reboot", etc. Sounds like we're talking to a customer service rep at the cable company. Yet for months this thread keeps growing---telling me that nothing has been fixed.

Called today to onstar. The person did a manual sync. This did update the vehicle status. They said they are aware of the problem..I.E.Not automatically do a sync.

I see that this is still going on after 2 years…
I have a 2025 Silverado 1500 that I bought in May. The vehicle status will not stay updated even though GM/Chevrolet swears it updates every time you drive it. It’s been 25 days now since it has updated and none of the recommendations are working. GM/Chevrolet/OnStar, please get your 💩 together and fix this!

I spent 45 minutes on the phone with an OnStar Tech, trying to resolve the same issue - with absolutely no progress.

Well Helen, I would but guess what? Messages aren’t sending. I’ve tried multiple times.

I’m also not understanding how I bought a new truck and I’m not getting free OnStar service for at least a year. My used 2015 Camaro came with it but not a brand new truck?”
If I could add a screenshot here I would…

It appears that my app is now fully working. I received an email about it from OnStar. I hope it continues to work as it should. Thank you for your help.

I am having the same problem. I have a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500, and the vehicle status information is not updating in the app. Shows that it was last connected 2 months ago. I have tried all the recommended troubleshooting (Power Cycle, delete/reinstall app, etc.), but none of that worked.

I have had the same issue since the vehicle has been new. I bought the vehicle in July 2024 and it has not worked right for the year that I have had the truck. It is very frustrating because when the app works, it is a great app. It just never works. My OnStar renewal is due in 30 days and I don’t think I’m gonna renew it cause I’m just throwing money away like I said when the app works it’s a great app. It just never works.

I LOVE OS standard email response to your posting. Its the same response a million of us receive--rather than posting a dam fix.. I've got OS free with my new Chevy for many months, but doubt its worth for "upping" to fee paid. I'm looking forward to spending probably an hour on the phone with them tomorrow, while they (probably) try and fix mine.

Brand new ZR2 Colorado...the app worked for like an hour when I first set it up. Now I can remotely control things in the truck, but I get no vehicle status.

8/30/25 UPDATE
Called OS and they did a simple vehicle "check" update and magic--App works...took 10 minutes...
