Family Sharing, family member's shared asset not saving

Hello - I am writing to determine if anyone is experiencing an issue where a family sharing invite was sent and accepted by a family member; however, post invite acceptance, I as the family sharing account owner am unable to assigned a shared asset (car) for the said family member (meaning the shared asset will not save the assignment/checkbox). Please advise if anyone else experiencing such an issue.
