Yukon 2024 onstar recall?
Is Gmc recalling the telemetry module on these trucks. Mine is exactly 2 years old and onstar is dead, no connection for the navigation or other apps. Seems ridiculous in a 2 year old vehicle to lose safety features. Also i had to pay for a 3 year subscription when I bought the truck. I have made numerous attempts to share one of my 3 GMC vehicles with my son. The email is received by him, and when he accepts and gets logged in to the GMC app, he doesn't see the vehicle. I also have noticed that the email invite still shows as pending even though he has accepted the invite and has logged into the GMC app. I contacted support who clearly did not understand the issue and told me to call Onstar support from the vehicle. As an 30 year IT professional myself, I know this is software related and I am hoping an Onstar software engineer could help me skip the level 1 helpdesk scripts and take a peek for me on the back end to see why my vehicle info is not connecting to the email address my son is using.ccrichton7520 hours agoPlace Technical and Service SupportTechnical and Service SupportNew Contributor106Views0likes10CommentsConnection issues after new plan activated
2021 Chevy Silverado with the highest plan (renamed One plan now). I have had the highest plan since initial purchase. The truck and OnStar have worked great since initial purchase. However I just went through a renewal cycle were stuff was shut off and then I paid the annual fee to have it turned back on. Below is the list of stuff that doesn't work and stuff that does. I have called a few times already and went through the normal troubleshooting. I even tried resetting everything to factory settings, but all that did make me revert back to the guest account as I can't log into my account anymore. They tell me that tier 2 or 3 will call to help, but we have not been able to connect. Items that don't work: Real-time traffic on maps doesn't work Can't log into my mychevy account from the the my chevy application Maps+ Says I need a connected plan The Apps application will not launch Items that do work: Connecting a device to the trucks wifi, it will share the data Weather application works fine Remote commands sent to the truck work fine Normal troubleshooting completed twice: Check account is setup properly - check Send signals to truck, restart infotainment - check - no improvement Ensure date/time is correct - check Send to next level support Does anyone have any ideas?mastonevich2 days agoPlace Technical and Service SupportTechnical and Service SupportNew Contributor9Views0likes0CommentsOnStar Red Light
I have a 2025 GMC Hummer Ev and for over 2 months I constantly keep getting a Emergency Call notification and the OnStar Button is red instead of green. I can dismiss the notification on the dash but I cannot figure out how to fix the OnStar button from constantly turning red. I have taken my vehicle in to the dealership for this issue on 3 separate appointment/occasions. I was informed the could not find the issue nor any code. I have provided them videos of the occurances as well as taken it in when it happened. They have identified the code, but the tech stated he has to do research to figure out the code. He has yet to identify (research) the code in an effort to address the issue. I have no idea what the issue is as well as the lack of safety features I currently do not have. I have a 2024 Silverado 2500. It was in a Chevy dealership the past few days for a repair. Since it went in, the MyChevrolet app isn't connecting to the truck to update truck info (ie: mileage, gas, oil life, etc). I have logged out/logged in, deleted the app and re-installed, and tried to delete cache and cookies. Still no fix. I am on an iPhone and it seems this may be a known issue? 2024 Cadillac XT4 Infotainment System Issues I'm experiencing connectivity problems with my 2024 Cadillac XT4's infotainment system. OnStar, the MyCadillac app, and other connectivity services are not functioning properly. Main Issues: OnStar and MyCadillac app connectivity completely down When I turn off the car and open the door, the infotainment screen sometimes remains powered on (though it stays responsive) To resolve the screen issue only, I have to restart the car, reset the infotainment system, then shut everything off again. However this does not fix any of the connection problems, and I have to do it every power cycle. WiFi has worked only intermittently in the past, but now it doesn't work at all. Troubleshooting Done: Called OnStar support, but they couldn't establish a connection and had to escalate the issue Dealer performed a module update approximately 6 months ago (by the way they also put a hole in my leather seat and scratched up the bottom part of the steering wheel) Has anyone else experienced similar connectivity issues with their XT4? Any suggestions for troubleshooting steps or potential solutions would be appreciated. I picked up a new Equinox EV 2025 about two weeks ago. I have complained to OnStar and my dealer for my entire period of ownership that data for in-vehicle apps hasn't worked. Finally, the car was diagnosed with having a bad telematics control module. Like others, the dealer and I have received no timeline for when we should expect a replacement unit. If the telematics control module is bad, then the car was shipped with this bad control module. Shame on me for believing the OnStar rep who said that the problem would fix itself in 24 hours. I've talked with countless OnStar reps who have only offered the same "open the car door for two minutes" reset advice. The actual car has spent at last two days (and counting) at the dealer. Unfortunately, my 2025 Yukon Denali keeps giving me nothing but problems. My truck has been without OnStar service for the last 20 days because of DEFECTIVE Telematics module and unfortunately the dealer can only provide the Backorder with no ETA for the modules to become available. This means no OnStar, No emergency support in case of an accident, Super Cruise, Wi-Fi, Entertainment System and a BIG Check Engine light!!! (thanks for the Check Engine Light GMC)!! GMC / Onstar need to step up and provide the parts and service to the customers, this is a not a dealer problem, this is a known quality repetitive issue that must be resolved Immediately.
