GM removes Alexa remote commands from my Chevrolet

I’m saddened to see removing of this remote command,  especially when we are payin  a subscription fee to use this feature as it is. Now we’re paying and not getting it.   Wow well thanks for the heads Chevy.
I was informed when I asked Alexa today and she said I’m sorry my Chevrolet  skill is no longer available.  Just like that something many used it just deleted no longer a car feature? .   Hmmm.  Disappointing

Thank you for reaching out to us with your feedback about the discontinuation of the Alexa Skill feature. Our goal is to provide our members access to OnStar, wherever they are. We found that our members prefer to use remote commands in their vehicle mobile apps. In response, we’ve decided to end the myBrand skill for Amazon Alexa. In order to clarify some additional information for you, communications regarding the ending of support for this feature were sent out on 10/15 to all active monthly users. Additionally, remote commands are still available via your mobile app with the applicable service plan. It is only the commands from your home Alexa to your vehicle that are discontinuing. If any additional questions or concerns arise in light of this change, please feel free to respond to us here.

What type of "communications" were sent out on 10/15? I didn't get an email for this change. Just an email that you are increasing service by $3. Take away a very useful app and then charge us extra for the inconvenience, the next month? Really, what is easier to do at home, look for my phone or keys to warm up my vehicle or ask Alexa to start my vehicle while I get ready to leave? Physical actions or voice? Voice is our current "norm" and the most convenient.  I'm really disappointed to see the loss of this valued feature.

I agree I got no communication and I use this usually all winter long.  I've already said this because of the removal of CarPlay from future EVs but I will not be buying another GM vehicle...ever.  They remove features customers want so they can charge you for their half baked versions.
