WiFi Hotspot - No Internet
I have a 2025 Tahoe with a OnStar One Super Cruise Plan with Connected Plus Unlimited Data Plan. My head unit and Rear Seat Entertainment all have data. However, when you connect a phone or tablet to the in-vehicle hot spot I get no data. The connected devices complain there is no Internet on the hot spot.
Any ideas? I have seen similar complaints on Reddit for these 2025 GM vehicles.

Same issue with my 24 Tahoe. Family tries to connect their devices and it shows there’s internet, yet they can’t get on anything. Frustrating!!

This is not the experience we like to hear. To further clarify, is the LED light near your OnStar hardware currently red? We highly recommend ensuring your module is not currently pending any applicable updates. If you have ongoing concerns, kindly let us know by sending a private message to OnStar_Support. We would be more than happy to take a further look into things moving forward.

I have a brand new 2025 traverse. I have had it 30 days. The wifi Hotspot worked perfectly until today, day 31 of owning the car. It will connect but with no internet. On my tablet it says, unavailable with current security settings. Yet on my phone it says WPA3 connection required. Which my new Samsung galaxy says its set to wpa2/wpa3, yet still no internet connection. Android auto works just fine. Makes no sense.

Same issue on 2025 Buick envision. This is on going and all I get is turn off car, open door, so sorry will turn in ticket. Last lady said she would send email with instructions to fix...no email for the last week. It seems it will be easier to cancel on star and just buy a Mobil hot spot. This is the avinar trim so comes with 8 years of maps etc.

I still have no working WiFi in my Tahoe. I have pre paid for a 3 YEAR subscription and the issue still has not been resolved! The only time it has worked is when the gave me a "FREE 1 MONTH TRIAL UNLIMITED PLAN", which makes no sense as I have a paid 3 year Subscription! It worked under the free trial, but once that expired it stopped working again.

Try a factory reset on the front infotainment. You’ll find the factory reset under Settings > Privacy. Yes, it’s hidden in Privacy menu.
A pain to have to re-do all settings/logins but hotspot worked immediately. - AhmooreNew Contributor
Same issue. 2025 suburban. 3 months old. 3500 miles. No WiFi or connection. Which means no gps, no maps, it also causes problems with the garage door opener buttons popping up when we pull up to the house, they won’t pull up when we pull out of the garage either- so I have to pull out, put the car in park, toggle out of the rear view camera and open the “controls” screen to get to the garage door opener to close the garage. I understand that “no wifi” seems like a kid problem except there are several features in these vehicles that require WiFi connection— ONSTAR and SOS being 2 main ones.

I also have a brand new 2025 Tahoe purchased 2 weeks ago with a OnStar One Super Cruise Plan with Connected Plus Unlimited Data Plan. My Front and Rear Seat Entertainment all have data. When I connect a phone or tablet to the in-vehicle hot spot I get no data. The connected devices say there is no Internet on the hot spot.

I was told this is a national issue with 2025 Tahoe. The only fix so far was they gave me a temporary 30 day data plan. However, we should have hot spot included with the vehicle purchase.
It has been torture to get it resolved, but I have had no permanent solution yet.

I bought a 2025 tahoe two weeks ago. Internet connection..hotspot stopped working yesterday..spent 4 hours on the phone with onstar. Nothing. I have 600 miles on my car. Good news though for anyone experiencing this issue. On 7/11/25 a new software update was released. It fixed it. Give it a try and hopefully it works. Take care.
