I have a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali that I had to take in for a dealer for them to tell me the OnStar Module needed replaced. My vehicle is over the 36,000 miles so they quoted me close to $750 to fix it. This $80k truck is only a year and a half old! Mileage should have nothing to do with this part. How is this not something that is covered by GM and/or OnStar? Especially after reading about so many other brand new trucks having this issue.35KViews22likes112CommentsTelmatic Module
To Whom it may concern, I have a 2023 (7/1/23) GMC Sierra. The telematics unit was out for approx. 5 weeks before I had a dealer appt for another issue. They said i would have to work with Onstar to figure it out, so I was at the dealer and I did just that. Onstar stated that I needed to schedule an appt. with the dealer. The dealer couldn't fit me in for another topic that day. Two weeks later the dealer stated that it was the telmatics module. It was also on backorder. It was 7 weeks since the need for a telematics module which was out of warranty. There is no future appt for the replacement do to it being on backorder. based on my internet research there appears to be an ongoing issue with these late model Telematics Modules across multiple brands. My questions.... Shouldn't this be covered under warranty (the dealer stated the GMC would cover half) since it is Onstar related and I have a 3-year subscription to the service? I think Onstar needs to credit me the time on the subscription once the app starts talking to the truck again. There is no end in sight on when the issue would be fixed. I am looking for Onstar feedback Thanks, DLBuff3.1KViews4likes17CommentsI want my money back
Howdy, I've read into it a bunch and it seems like I'm not the only person completely disappointed by the hotspot features. I started a plan a few days ago thinking that using my hotspot on the truck might get me some reliable Internet being that I need it for work and I travel a lot. It's actually done more bad then good because I've been having to constantly stop and mess with it as only certain things work and everything else tells me I don't have any Internet connection at all! I'd like my money back or I'd like an onstar person to reach out to me and try to make it right. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since I don't know if it's just a software thing or something I'm missing but so far this has been a total waste of money.Onstar module
On star module went out. 22000 miles. Dealer said 4 weeks due to back ordered part. Really? Can’t use my truck for 4 weeks? Do you have the link for the class action lawsuit? My limited research found this to be a huge problem. How am I going to get to work? What can Onstar do to make this right?OnStar Module Broke
Brought my 2023 Yukon XL with 38K miles in to fix a recall and when I got it back now my “telematic control module/OnStar module” is broken and needs to be replaced. Dealer is telling me it will cost $900 and they have no idea when the part would even be in? This is ridiculous, not only should I not have to pay for this, but it shouldn’t have broke and if it needs fixing it should be done immediately.9.9KViews8likes62CommentsOn Star module

I recently recieved a recall for my 2025 gmc Acadia stating the onstar module was malfunctioning. This has been an ongoing problem since august. I haven’t been able to access my benefits that entire time. I just recently got my onstar fixed and now it’s expiring. When I spoke with an agent to get my onstar fixed over the phone the gentleman told me they would give me a credit for the months I went without.97Views0likes1Comment
