Wi-Fi will not work

I have been paying every month for the AT&T Wi-Fi hotspot, but it will not connect or allow any access on any phone or other device. How does this get fixed? It worked perfectly fine months ago. Why am I being charged for a service that isn’t working even after contacting onstar. Was told it was because I had a checking account for payment, which was incorrect. I have always only had a card attached to my account, but gave the info again. So frustrating
