Onstar eligibility

I’ve got a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS, is it too old for onstar benefits/services? It’s got onstar FAQs in the manual and a fuse in one of the boxes labeled for onstar. Neither GM nor onstar will accept my VIN though.

Please know that based on the age of your vehicle, OnStar services will not be available. We do encourage Member's to download the OnStar Guardian App. The Guardian App provides Member's with access to crucial safety features such as:

• Emergency Services
• Crisis Assist
• Roadside Assistance
• Mobile Crash Response
• Location Status
