Data plans; monthly vs onetime use?

At the prices as of today an unlimited monthly data plan is $300/year (@$25/month) while a Onetime Use unlimited plan is $200/year. 
What is/are the “fine print” differences between the two plans (other than the obvious pay-by-the-month versus an upfront onetime payment)?

I ask because there are significant differences among the big cellular companies’ Postpaid monthly plans (sometimes called contract plans) and their Prepaid monthly plans.
An example would be a cell phone booster which can be registered with a cellular provider if you have a Postpaid plan but NOT if you have a Prepaid plan.

Again I ask; are there any differences between the monthly and onetime data plans?

The plan at the rate of $200/year sounds like the Annual Plan for Unlimited Data. Enrolling into that plan will provide you with Unlimited Data for 12 months. Our plans that have an Annual rate option offer a slight discount with no difference in the service they provide.
