OnStar Module Broke
Brought my 2023 Yukon XL with 38K miles in to fix a recall and when I got it back now my “telematic control module/OnStar module” is broken and needs to be replaced. Dealer is telling me it will cost $900 and they have no idea when the part would even be in? This is ridiculous, not only should I not have to pay for this, but it shouldn’t have broke and if it needs fixing it should be done immediately.

My OnStar failed 2 months ago. The dealer (Henna in Austin Tx) has had my Silverado EV for 6 weeks waiting on the telematics part. They won't let me drive the truck until the part comes in because they say GM won't pay them to put the truck back together then take it apart again.

I have a Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate 2022; the module failed yesterday. I called OnStar to find a solution. I was surprised to learn that they don't have knowledge or a position on this issue. I canceled my subscription. There is no timeline to fix it.
How disappointing after overpaying for this truck. This level of service is what makes me change brands.

It appears as though I have an uphill battle. My OnStar light suddenly turned from green to red and OnStar advisors have been unable to diagnose the root cause nor rectify the situation. I'm scheduled for 30k maintenance on my 22 Equinox soon and will bring it up at that time. I'm leaning towards canceling the service altogether if I get a $1k proposal to fix a problem that is so widespread and well known. Perhaps a class action would be an avenue to pursue

I appreciate how quickly you were able to copy and paste the countless previous replies. Please forgive my skepticism seeing as how out of the sea of complaints, I've yet to come across one where its said that OnStar was able to assist in any capacity
