I am in this same boat with a 24 Lyriq. Been to 2 dealers, it sat at then for almost 2 months. They replaced the GPS antenna and it worked for a while then the dreaded "Service Emergency Calling". The GPS works intermittently. There doesn't seem to be much pressure on GM to resolve the issue.
I believe that "Service Emergency Calling" is potentially a safety issue. I don't want to lemon law the car is a dealer screwed me once, that needed a lawyer to sort out. It was still a losing issue for me.

Hi everyone, this is also happening to us with our 2025 enclave. It has to be jumped twice this weekend, and then we were told the on star module had drained the entire car battery to the point it will no longer turn on. We purchased this car brand new just months ago.

After you repair the battery, remember to check whether your Onstar module is still working properly and whether the blue light is still on.

My GPS worked for 7 months on my new 2025 Equinox EV. A second dealer finally ordered a new unit, but I got the same message as the rest of you--on backorder. I was told I was LUCKY the rest of my car works! I buy a new car so I don't have to sit in the dealership waiting for parts. I have to say I never had this problem with any other brand of car. I'm going back to Toyota when I can get out of this deal. Has anybody checked out Toyota's hydrogen car that uses water?

Called BUICK directly but it’s actually General Motors Customer Care and filed the safety complaint with them
Spoke with Sophia. I have a case number and they said a regional representative will contact me… I informed Sophia two complaints have been filed with NHTSA and FTC. She said I wasn’t the first she heard of this issue and they are documenting ALL CALLS… so call that number, have your VIN # ready and file your complaints. Remember the number I called is actually GM Customer Care…

Newest report filed with Federal Trade Commission
it is fraudulent and unfair practice to communicate that it is safe to drive vehicles that have the potential of shutting down on a consumer mid drive because of the Telematics Module malfunction. The module is a defect and should be replaced at NO COST to the consumer. Demand a SAFETY RECALL.

Let’s also file with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission)

Done! I just filed my report with FTC…

I just submitted a vehicle complaint to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) at https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem#/vehicle/vehicle-information.
I also filed a complaint directly with Buick by calling 1-800-521-7300. According to them, GM tracks all repairs (including OnStar modules), investigations take time, and every case is thoroughly documented and reviewed.
I hope every report makes a difference. Please consider doing your part to help everyone affected by this issue.

Reports to gm do nothing. They know these are failing because they collect the randomized DTC data. That’s what will make this lawsuit easy. Clear failure of a safety feature and they new from the first second.

Hard to do right now with the government in the mess it is.

Did you hear anything? I have not. Not sure how long it takes.
I had a service appointment today but I had to cancel it because I could get no one at the dealership to answer if they had a courtesy shuttle. Not one person knew this information? Everything about Chevrolet and GM is turning out to be crap. The main thing I don't understand is since they know all these modules are bad, why not just replace them for us and stop with all the bull?

I am not expecting a direct response from either party. My intent in submitting the complaints was simply to add my voice in the hope that others will do the same and that, collectively, it may carry weight. While I cannot be certain it will lead to change, at present it seems to be the only course of action available.
I have already paid for a new Telematics module, and my hope is that I will not see the check engine light again, and that eventually a recall is issued so the expense I incurred can be reimbursed.
As a side note, the dealer that repaired my vehicle does not provide a shuttle, loaner cars, or reimbursement for ride services such as Uber.

I also contacted the law firm and left my information with Michelle.

Do you have to live in PA to contact this attorney?

I will make this call. Does it matter what state you live in. I have 2023 Buick envision and onstar is out and been out. I didn’t know it was the problem before my warranty went out. Had I known what was going on well you know.

Im sorry you are having this problem too. I have a 2025 GMC Acadia Denali and I did not know my onstar was not working until my GPS went crazy and I pressed the blu button for help, was totally shocked when nothing happened. The safety system advertised does not work. I have been told that its technically not on backorder, that it is old software and is having to be redesigned

Called, seems like support is growing per the firm.
