Charge status not updating in my Cadillac app for Escalade IQ
hello, recently my car sat for 2 weeks while I traveled. When I returned to my car, my navigation was offline. This resolved itself after a few hours but my car was not connecting to my app. Initially I was able to get my car to set climate remotely but the app would error saying that it was unable to communicate with the car. That resolved after a few days. The only persistent issue is that my charging level will no longer update. The car is currently charged to 80% but the app says 52% which is what the leve was the day I got back from vacation and drove it. By the end of the day it was at 52%. I have reinstalled the app, I have power cycled the phone and the car. I have driven multiple times after. I have connected it to WiFi…. Nothing addresses the problem. I have also had it check for software updates and it comes back with no updates.
last update installed GM 653.40, android version 12, Android patch level December 5 2024
how can I fix this?

We know how frustrating app concerns can be. Our team would be glad to look into this concern with the charging status you are experiencing. As an initial troubleshooting step, we recommend trying to power cycle your Escalade IQ using the instructions provided below. If that does not resolve your concern, please send us a private message to OnStar_Support by selecting the envelope at the top right of the page.

Power Cycle Steps:
1. Enter the vehicle and turn ignition on (Vehicle should run for at least 60 seconds)
2. Shut off vehicle
3. Remove Key from ignition or Press start/stop button
4. Exit vehicle - Key FOB must also exit vehicle
5. Close Driver's door - All other doors, hatch, liftgate should also be closed
6. Lock vehicle doors using Key FOB
7. Critical Step: Wait ~2 minutes (or until OnStar LED goes out. This allows time for the OnStar unit and other electrical systems to turn off)
8. Re-Enter the vehicle and turn ignition on
9. Check app to see if it shows the correct information- Dclarke977New Contributor
Yup. Done this multiple times and no luck. I have only been able to make it update when I am sitting in the car with the car running (not in drive) and attempt to send a command to the vehicle. Sometimes it updates. Sometimes it doesn’t.
