MyGMC app will not update vehicle status

Hi

MyGMC app will not update vehicle status.  I've tried uninstalling, log out/back in, granted all app permissions, clear cache, restart phone, turn ignition on for at least 2 minutes then turn ignition off and wait 2-5 minutes.  Still nothing.   What is the logic behind update vehicle status, how is that supposed to work?  I have Onstar subscription and vehicle is connected to my account.  The vehicle shows up in the app.  Please help me get this working on a regular basis. thanks.

    Same issue. Tried all the posted remedies. 
    Can OS send a manual signal refresh or something?

      ask them to send a vehicle diagnostic blast...your app will work until you shut off the vehicle or reboot your app---then your back where 500,000 of us are.

      I have name and VIN but how do I get OnStar account number?

      I don't see that in the app.  I have the OnStar One plan.
