Alexa is gone from infotainment system and google store.

As many people have said in discussions for years now, No Alexa app, No customer.   When I trade my 2025 Suburban in for a new vehicle, it will not be a Chevrolet.  My entire house and business are connected through Alexa.  Get with the program!  Add features, don’t take things away that justify the purchase of a $89,000 vehicle.  Your customer will leave you.

We are also to be counted as disapproving of the removal of the Alexa app. We purchased our 2026 Yukon because it had Alexa. The last update took that away. Our cash purchase of this vehicle was wrought with many dealer problems and no resolution from GM customer support. We decided to buy American and left 25 years of Land Rover loyalty because this vehicle finally met all of our needs. The dealer / customer support was horrific  and now this. We will never buy American again.

Thanks GM for screwing up my 2025 Sub High Country.  We DO NOT use Google Assistant for anything, only Alexa/Amazon Music.  This about  justifies me getting rid of it.  Please think through these updates carefully before pushing them out and consider the impact it has to your customer base.

I recently impulse purchased my first GM vehicle in my near 70 years as a consumer. It's a wonderful GMC Sierra EV Denali. It's a splurge, for this old grandpa of 9 grandkids. I mention the grandkids because there is a gang-of-4 granddaughters that are almost daily climbing into my trucks and they were a bit surprised to see Pawpaw show up with the new electric truck. But as soon as they discovered it had Alexa riding along just like Pawpaw's other truck, all was well.

I have countless cherished memories of these little ones controlling the environment from the back seat by commanding Alexa as their personal disc jockey, as well as all kinds of hilarity with questions asked of Alexa to settle debates.

I could go on with many examples or stories that apply, but I think I've made the point.

What a dissapointing thing to find out. At some point the software on the truck will be UPDATED(?), only to discover it's not an enhancement or improvement. At least not in the experience of those 4 little girls opinion. :(

Fortunately Pawpaw still has his 2022 F150 KingRanch Powerboost. I can almost guarantee which truck they will prefer to go to the park or the campground in. And honestly? My current priorities in life will have me choosing what they prefer over my desire to drive my latest & greatest.
