Unable to reach Silverado EV
When I use the myChevrolet app to remotely start climate control on my 2026 Silverado EV, the command usually fails. Other remote actions are also extremely slow and frequently fail. The dealer has inspected the vehicle and replaced the OnStar Telematics Module responsible for communicating with OnStar, but the issue remains unresolved, and I was directed to contact OnStar for further support. The problem occurs regardless of whether the vehicle is connected to my home Wi-Fi or is away from it.
This is particularly frustrating during winter months, as I am often unable to precondition or warm up an EV that explicitly reminds the owner to do so in cold conditions to ensure proper battery performance. I have opened multiple support tickets with no meaningful resolution, and I am concerned that my warranty may expire before this issue is addressed, leaving me without recourse for a feature that was advertised and sold as reliable.
At this point, I feel that a system advertised as a core feature of the vehicle is not functioning as represented. If this issue cannot be resolved promptly, I may need to report the matter to the Better Business Bureau, as I purchased this vehicle with the reasonable expectation that these connected features would work reliably.
