Recall/Class Action on Onstar Module ??
I started to email all the documentation and email threads between GMC customer care, Onstar, and the dealer to GMC executives.
As the push for EV and other GM markets, the ever growing concern that they are stuck in a supply chain dilemma is no laughing matter and a concern for all consumers , including the federal government.
Modules is just another tipping point. A class action was filed this month in Georgia due to the engine problems possibly plaguing all 6.2l engines from 2019-2024. Over 900k vehicles impacted.
My Onstar hasn't worked for over a year now, took it to the dealership and they said the module is bad and would cost $600 to fix. That is just outrageous!!!

Don’t you guys get tired of sounding like broken records with your pre generated responses! Stop LYING TO CONSUMERS. Give us the help we really need and report your FAILED module to GM for SAFETY RECALL!

To newly affected CONSUMERS… Welcome to the community… TRUST me you are NOT ALONE.
This telematics module is a defect and definitely a SAFETY issue. The telematics module has the potential of draining the battery completely which can cause the car to shut off MID DRIVE. I know because it happened to me TWICE.
I have reported the safety issue to the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration)

I have also reported this to the Federal Trade Commission because it is fraudulent practice to advise consumers that these vehicles are still safe to drive.

Many of us have contacted GM DIRECTLY to file a complaint at
We have also contacted a Class Action Lawyer based out of Philadelphia that has gone up against GM before. Speak with Michelle
TRUST ME when I say OnStar reps are not going to help you… they say they will, invite you to private chats just to let you down and waste more of your time… remember they are a product of GM and if GM isn’t doing anything OnStar isn’t going to either…
