OnStar Telematics module - no dates for backorder part is unacceptable
my 2025 Equinox EV (4000 miles) also has a failed Telematics module (as of 2.1.25) with a "backorder" status and dealer has no idea when it'll be in. Not only does it affect OnStar, but gps/maps/charger near you dont work either. You have to guess and figure it out manually. The car thinks I'm hundreds of miles from where I actually am and doesn't change location. This is unacceptable in any vehicle, but especially an EV which relies on the information to travel

I’m not happy to find that this problem has existed before I purchased my vehicle 2025 Arcadia Denali. Now I’m line with all theses people also. All my problems started when I was asked to update my system. If you knew the problem existed. Why would the system ask people to update their system? This sounds like it’s going to fall under the Florida lemon law act. I’m a very dissatisfied customer and plan to file what ever it takes. This is a nightmare I’m in fear every time I go out of town because my system does it’s own thing. I have already went through OnStar for two hours and then took it to be serviced only to find out my part is on backorder.

We certainly understand how frustrating and unsettling it is to experience these concerns, @Bluecar especially when it impacts your confidence in your vehicle while traveling. We know how much you rely on your Arcadia Denali’s features, and we truly regret the stress this backorder has caused you. We would be glad to connect with you to provide an extra layer of support alongside your servicing dealer. To get started, please send us a private message to OnStar_Support by selecting the envelope at the top right of the page. Please include your full contact information (name, email, and phone number), your VIN, current mileage, and the name of your servicing dealer. By sending us a message, you consent to the information you provide being monitored and recorded by GM or those acting on GM’s behalf, subject to the GM Privacy Statement.

Exact same issue for me. Have 2025 blaze ev. No map or music from last 3 weeks. When I tried to contact onstar support using buttons it is blinking green. Went to dealership and they told me onstar module is bad and no timelines for replacement.
is it possible to connect using my phone hotspot?
