On Star module broken

our 2022 suburban premier did the same thing. Intermittent connectivity and check engine light then finally completed died. Part backordered at dealership no ETA. I do think this warrants a recall and likely class action law suit. OnStar gave us a code 1-2-3 and the dealership wasted 2 hours running a diagnosis to come back and say you were right. Clearly GM is not sharing this with dealerships as then a paper trail starts and they are forced to put out a recall that has no solution. I think all of us need to start working together with someone taking the lead. I am sure there is an attorney willing to take this on given the safety implications and cost people are putting out when they aren’t aware of this.
