On Star module broken
2023 Bolt EUV...47,200 miles and change. The WiFi, OnStar, Super Cruise and all forms of regular Cruise Control (Adaptive and Regular) have failed. Since the microphones for the Infotainment system are wired through OnStar, those have also failed. THANKFULLY, all of the safety features of the car are still working. But...the Telematics Module (which I am sure is the same for all the GM vehicles in this thread) has failed--at least that is what the dealership told me. AND, the part is on backorder. Looks like GM got a bad batch of these modules and they have made their way into many of their models. Tahoe, Sierra Denali, Suburban, Bolt EUV. I do wonder if there is going to be a recall on this part. If there are this many people complaining in an open forum, you can count on the fact that there is a 1 in 50 chance that everyone is reporting it here. That means there have been at LEAST 200 failures of this unit. The fact that it is on backorder should be very telling...in the world of CMS (Component Manufacturing Services) and the need to do a PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), this means it will be at LEAST 90 days before they get them back on the shelves. My dealership told me they have had similar parts that took 9 months to resupply. Come on GM...you can do better than this!
