class action lawsuit OnStar module backorder
I was informed today by onstar that I need a new BCM onstar module. My car is 32 days old and the part is on national backorder.
Has anyone consulted a lawyer about this or is this just hoping that one is filed?
I bought a brand new 2025 with 3 miles on it because my low functioning daughter needs wifi to run her tablet while we are in the car or she has bad meltdowns since she doesn't like being in her special car seat.
I have contacted a attorney. My car is 2025 and has been in the shop since July 1st. This module had affected my vehicle in a way that it **bleep** the whole thing down and had yo get it towed to the dealership. No eta for the part and they wanted to take the part out and have me drive the car. Nope not happening. Putting miles on and am not getting what I am paying payment for. By the time that part comes in the warranty will be out .

Curious. What did the attorney say?

I had an issue with the camera in my 2020 Equinox that happened literally days before my warranty expired. I brought it in & they confirmed the issue, but parts were not available. I was assured that since it was diagnosed & logged before the warranty expired, it would be replaced under warranty whenever the part came in. The dealership honored that statement.
Now I have the same "telematics module" issue on my 2025 Equinox that everyone else has (at least that's what OnStar told me). I brought it in & they had me take it back until they had a loaner for me because they said even the diagnostics will take some time. Two weeks later (today), I returned it & picked up the loaner. I will get a call next week with an update.

Yes, I just realized they keep giving me the vehicle back to drive- thus adding miles and lowering the amount they will pay me. Stupid me.
