Bring back the weather app!
I discovered yesterday that the Weather Channel app has been discontinued. I'm not happy about this! I use this app constantly. It's really the only add on app that I use in the car. I love it when I'm driving long distances alone and I need to check the weather. It's so much safer to look at the radar quickly on the screen vs trying to pull it up on my phone while I'm driving. I live in the Midwest and the weather can change quickly, especially in the spring and summer. OnStar is about being safe in your vehicle. I can't think of any apps that they offer that are more important to safety than the weather app. Please bring it back! I will definitely pay a little extra to have the app. It's important to me and my safety! I called OnStar yesterday to let them know my concerns about this decision. I hope they decide to bring it back!

I agree! Please bring it back, as this is great when traveling to weather alerts.
GM / OnStar please bring the Weather app back! There’s limited apps and this was one of the good and useful ones. Truly without good apps like these, having the monthly plans don’t make sense.
We all are pissed they dropped the weather channel. It was an important feature to warn us of bad or life-threatening weather. All they have said is they dropped the app over a contract problem. Which probably just means that the weather channel wanted more money. First, we lost our phone service through OnStar now this. Makes us wonder just what we are getting for out money anymore.
YES! Please bring back SOMETHING that will give us weather and radar alerts.
I can't believe they dumped it and didn't provide an alternative. That's awful! And yes, I do have the app on my phone, but even with Android Auto, I will not receive weather alerts on my car screen while I'm driving. This is crap. I'm terribly disappointed that OnStar and GM thought this was okay. Once my pre-paid subscription ends, I'll be done with their service. If they want me to rely solely on my phone, I'll go ahead and do that. Thanks for saving me money.

Yes. I too am disappointed they took it off. I would pay for the app to as I do for my phone.
PLEASE bring back the weather app! I depended on it all the time! We are losing enough right now! This was just another blow!!!!
I drive up north a lot and it would have been nice to know while driving that the weather was changing to ice. I always check the weather before I drive but it started icing a few hrs before it was supposed to, so I know with that app it would have notified me while I was driving. I really hope it comes back. I mean you just raised the monthly fee and then you take away the weather app. Why is that?
I agree with many of the users here, it was one of the reasons I purchased the OnStar – seriously, contemplating discontinuing the service on my fleet of vehicles
