Bring back the weather app!
I discovered yesterday that the Weather Channel app has been discontinued. I'm not happy about this! I use this app constantly. It's really the only add on app that I use in the car. I love it when I'm driving long distances alone and I need to check the weather. It's so much safer to look at the radar quickly on the screen vs trying to pull it up on my phone while I'm driving. I live in the Midwest and the weather can change quickly, especially in the spring and summer. OnStar is about being safe in your vehicle. I can't think of any apps that they offer that are more important to safety than the weather app. Please bring it back! I will definitely pay a little extra to have the app. It's important to me and my safety! I called OnStar yesterday to let them know my concerns about this decision. I hope they decide to bring it back!

Found this out today as I was approaching a storm. How am I going to do my tornado storm chasing? Just kidding, how am I not going to killed by a tornado if I can’t see the radar. Sounds like a liability issue now for GM.
DOUBLE DITTO. Icon was just GONE one morning, opened settings and searched the available apps, GONE
The Weather Channel WAS the only app I actually used religiously. At this point unlimited data and even paying for onstar seems almost pointless. Remote start via app would be the only plus.
Wonder IF was done on the newer infotainment platform on 22's 23's? As my 2019 XT5 Still has the weather channel app working fine 🤔
Owners should already know the GM loves doing this sort of crap🤬

For me, there is no point in keeping my data plan without the Weather Channel. I’ll just cancel my service. If enough people cancelled their plan that would get their attention and maybe they would reconsider.

i used it every single day, sometimes more than once. i was needless to say pissed when it disappeared. my husband works for gm at a garage & he didn't know it was leaving us all far too soon & without warning. he asked someone else at work & they said my car wasn't compatible with it (2023 gmc acadia). i have myradar and i use it, but i liked all the info i got from the weather channel. considering carrot weather subscription but that's $60 a year (which i get it, isn't that bad compared to onstar, but is it worth it).

Agreed! I just discovered it didn’t work today and then disappeared. I drive my vehicle all over the state for work and need this app to stay on top of the changing weather. Dodge has it, maybe it’s time to cancel OnStar? Buy a Dodge?
