Blank map
We have a 2024 chevy suburban and did the free trial of the wifi. That expired and our map on the infotainment screen would still show basic GPS and location we just couldn't use the Google services like directions without a data plan. It was that way for months and then all of a sudden our map just went blank on the infotainment. We have tried resetting and checking for updates. Our dealer told us everything looked good and we couldn't use it without a paid data plan. Is this really the case. It doesn't make sense why it worked as basic GPS and is just now blank. Any help?

This happened to my 2025 equinox. I had to call and have them investigate, they gave me a free month of one service. My car window sticker said it came with 8 years of OnStar One Essentials but they don’t have that plan anymore so that have it on a modified basics plan. Call them, preferably from the dealership with a service tech, and have them investigate. Check your window sticker too, if you bought it new.
