We have a 2024 chevy suburban and did the free trial of the wifi. That expired and our map on the infotainment screen would still show basic GPS and location we just couldn't use the Google services ...
This happened to my 2025 equinox. I had to call and have them investigate, they gave me a free month of one service. My car window sticker said it came with 8 years of OnStar One Essentials but they don’t have that plan anymore so that have it on a modified basics plan. Call them, preferably from the dealership with a service tech, and have them investigate. Check your window sticker too, if you bought it new.
