2022 GMC Yukon
A few weeks ago my OnStar quit working along with automated clock and mapping system.
called OnStar and was told they couldn’t diagnose what was wrong but to take in to dealer and they would create a case # for dealer to use. Specifically was told they haven’t heard of any issues like this before.(which was a lie)
well today I was finally able to get into dealer. Was told there would be a diagnostic fee. 180$
Finally heard back that it’s the telecommunications module that is broken and will need to be replaced. After parts and labor I will be looking at 1600$. Oh but the part is back ordered and they are not sure if my warranty will cover it. So will put back together and let me know when it comes in.
how does this happen in such a new/expensive vehicle? I don’t understand. This seems to be happening to more and more vehicles. Shame on GMC and shame on OnStar. Criminal if you ask me. These new electrical systems are horrible. I am worried that if I don’t get it fixed, something else’s will go wrong and even the check engine light could come on.
this is terrible customer service on all ends.
