Advisor Jack,
Please read and then re-read your response. No where did you address the issue which is causing all the anxiety as to why this safety feature was removed. In the absence of facts, misinformation will breed.
It is ludicrous for you to say, on the one hand, that OnStar is all about safety; and the on the other remove a critical safety component of the GM (OnStar) app. The bottom line, despite the false claims that OnStar is making for customer convenience, is that the removal of the trailer testing feature from the app has drastically reduced the degree of safety protection for the motoring public. Fewer trailer light tests will occur which means that hidden trailer light problems will increase. This will result in the potential for more accidents.
Do what you know is the right thing to do and bring this critical safety feature back into the app!!

I bet the app has 24+/- channels of functionality between the vehicle and onstar, so to add "Climate Control" features (trying to catch up to Tesla), they had to remove something and decided Trailering was what could go? - I was looking for it after purchasing a camper and hoping to use the app to enter all the dimensions for the HD Surround Vision cameras to align.
