OnStar - your clock depends on it?
I only realized today that apparently the clock in my Sierra 1500 is set via OnStar. A few minutes off and I would probably not have noticed for a long time. But after the recent time change, a 1-hour difference got my attention today.
Of course I've got one of the dead modules - so maybe even without a subscription the clock can still set itself. That is until GM figures this out and bundles that into the service :)
Fortunately, my part came in recently and is being replaced today. I wish I could opt-out of future "software updates"
