Discount for seniors, ex 1st. responders and those spending little time in car.
It's a shame OnStar prices the over 70 population and those on fixed incomes with the same rates as commuters and those who put multiple thousand miles on their cars yearly. Why not an affordable plan for the hundreds of thousands of seniors who only drive a few hundred miles each year? You're losing a very large market by pricing yourself beyond our ability to comfortably pay.11KViews5likes2CommentsRefund of payments and nothing but run around and no refund
I have since september of this year had Onstar take 315.24 out of my checking account and over draft it everytime. I have called and called and called and all I get it oh Im sorry don't know how that is happening. It shows in my transactions on the site that 3 checks have been issued but nope no check has been received. I finally after multiple calls, I had to call my bank and be charged to make sure that Onstar takes no more money. So I am charged to make sure they take no more money out, I haven't received 3 refunds of anything, tells me it takes 30 days well it is well over the 30 days from the last one and still nothing. I am tired of this BS, I guess I have to take legal action as you guys have caused my account to sit in the negative as I wasn't a subscriber and you managed to take money out of my account as I didn't budget for something I didn't have and only offer me 2 free months. Is there any way to get my refund faster now that I have had 3 times and no refunds and removed my bank information cause you guys have ruined my account and added in a different card. What do I need to do to get my money back not 30 days from now, I want it back immediately, it took you seconds to take it out. I hope you guys aren't screwing anyone else out. but it's hard when I am a student and single mom to understand why you think this is ok, I can't afford it. I want my money back now. I call and get the BS spill of oh it is coming and oh i will check into it and call you back. Nothing I want this fixed; my bills haven't been paid due to your unprofessionalism.10KViews3likes8CommentsView Plans & Pricing
Is there a simpler way to view my plan and pricing? Having to go through multiple pages is not efficient, frustrating and a complete waste of time. Why can't I simply just log in, go to my account and have my plan, its components and the amount displayed right there?13KViews3likes5Commentsno data plan
i bought an $85k truck, 2024 high country 3500. I get app access free for 3 years. onstar and data free for one month. Now that one month up i am pretty sure 85k is enough but no i have to pay a minimum of $25 a month for eternity to use NAV, and any other feature in the truck. There is something dreadfully wrong with this SCAM. i had no idea nothing would work without it. i promise i wouldnt have purchased the vehicle. Eveyone warns me about SCAMS and this is one for sure. I opted for this truck because it has HUD. I love the speed limit for each road shows up. NOT anymore, gotta have a data plan!!!!!!!!!!! Google maps is the new engine that drives everything in the truck. Also, AT&T is the carrier. they are the worst here in GA. is there a class action suit against GM for this ? Ill jump in for sure.7.2KViews3likes5Comments- 5.6KViews2likes2Comments
Pricing
The pricing for on star is a rip off. When you cancel your on star plan they will tell you you can get it for 19.95. I was charged 40.00 a month for 16 months and never even had the app for on star. The woman then tells me she can lower the price to 19.95 why didn't they do this when I took the suv off the lot?19KViews2likes4CommentsPricing, multiple vehicles, and discounts
I have searched for the answers, but everything I’ve has been very vague. I have been a loyal GM customer for over 34 years. I have owned GM vehicles primarily, with very few exceptions. I currently own multiple GM vehicles. Of the six vehicles I own, two are equipped with OnStar (the GTO didn’t come with it and would likely have a sunset version if it did, two are HD motorcycles, and one is a Jeep - inherited). The two OnStar equipped vehicles are a 2015 High Country 3500 Silverado and a 2019 Z06 Corvette. I am considering getting an OnStar account for these vehicles to utilize all the features I paid for when I bought them, but I do not want, what is equivalent to, a full on household bill for a service I would barely use. I can only drive one vehicle at a time (I am single and my kids are grown and moved out – I’m the only driver of these vehicles) and I work for home, meaning I rarely drive to begin with. Therefore, I was inquiring to see if it was possible to get a multi-vehicle discount and/or a military veteran discount (I am a 30% - likely to increase soon – disabled veteran) for OnStar services for these two vehicles. I am also an AT&T subscriber if that helps (I know the LTE service OnStar uses is AT&T). If not, I’ll just keep using my phone as I have been for years, since I literally get all the same capabilities, just not “built-in”.15KViews2likes3Comments- 12KViews2likes5Comments
OnStar Remote Access Plan no longer renewable?
i received an email about 3 weeks ago stating my Remote Access plan for my 2022 GMC is expiring at the end of March, and asking me to renew. Today, i attempted to do that, but when i click the "Renew Plan" button on the email, it takes me to the 'My Plans' web page for my account. i see the Remote Access plan description there, but no way to actually renew it. i chatted with an OnStar rep, from whom i gather that this plan is 'no longer available', and that i would have to get the 'Connect' plan (an additional $45/year) instead. I only got Remote Connect for the remote command functionality. i don't need the other things that i already get via my phone. So $45 more is not a huge issue, it bothers me more to pay for the things i don't want, and it bothers me more that OnStar promised me one thing in the email, and then switched to something else without any notification. just a bad customer experience.297Views1like4CommentsWhy do we have to pay for basic services?
I am trying to figure out why I have to pay for basic start/stop and lock/unlock features. My ford vehicles provides this service at no charge. It includes all the services that you charge $15 a month for. Maybe you need to look at how the Ford pass is set up for billing.368Views1like1Comment
