Just got a brand new 2024 Chevy traverse a week and 1 day ago. Just hit almost 400 miles and a notification popped up on the dash that said “emergency services calling” and the Onstar light turned red. We pressed the button and the diagnostic report came back with error code B19DA.
“The OnStar System is not performing as expected. An issue has been detected in the Wireless Communication System which provides security and safety features, turn by turn navigation, Wi-Fi, and much more. This may impact the ability for OnStar to assist in a crash and provide other services that you have requested.“
person on the phone said it’s an issue with the Onstar…not the vehicle itself? Anyone else have this issue?

I have this same issue. I just bought a 2024 GMC Acadia AT4 last Saturday - 398 miles on it and this error just came up today. On the myGMC app it said to schedule an appt for “An issue with OnStar system” and I did - but the appointment isn’t until August. I would love to hear what you find out.

What was the resolution to this? I got the message yesterday in my new Cadillac and the red LED light next to the OnStar button. Today, the system was working fine and the red light is off. Not sure WTF is going on...???

Thank you for bringing these hardware concerns to our attention. Please know, a red LED light near your OnStar hardware may mean a visit to your dealership is required. If you haven't already, you can push your blue OnStar button to run an On-Demand Vehicle Diagnostic. A live Advisor will be more than happy to assist. If you have any additional questions or concerns after speaking with them, our team here is only an email away at socialmedia@gm.com. Be sure to include ATTN: OnStar Community/SLW in the subject headline.

I just purchased a 2024 Colorado on July 8 2024 and have the exact same problem. At 400 miles a notification saying “service emergency calling” appeared and the ONSTAR button went red. I’ve tried talking to OnStar three times and they insist it’s a check engine light and that I need to call the dealership. I checked with the dealership first before calling ONSTAR and cannot get them to understand that it is NOT the check engine light even though they keep insisting it is. I confirmed its an ONSTAR issue and called OnStar, but after speaking with three different people and sitting on hold for 12 minutes I gave up. Terrible service.

Lorraine--did the OnStar rep run a vehicle status report on your Colorado? When this happened to me, they did run a report and found nothing. This is just a mystery but mine reset and it hasn't happened again.
