Onstar Cancellation
Can someone please explain to me why it is so difficult to cancel WIFI with Onstar. This is ALWAYS a huge issue. Honestly it's easier to get my vehicle financed than it is for me to cancel onstar wifi in any of my vehicles. The security questions that I am asked are totally ridiculous. I understand passcodes, account numbers, but asking where the vehicle was purchased. For goodness sakes I'm just canceling a $15.00 option. NEVER AGAIN will I subscribe to WIFI thru Onstar. 4 phone calls needed to cancel this monthly charge. Come on GM you need to do better.🤬

When I canceled OnStar, I was not told the WiFi would not be cancelled. I continued to be charged for the wifi. Called to cancel WiFi. Requested a refund since I had never used it. Refund refused because their records show it was used - for a very small amount of data and she couldn’t say when. Most likely, this was for the initial setup only! This is how they avoid giving refunds even if it is not used. NEVER AGAIN! What a scam!

I had nothing but problems with OnStar in it's entirety. Charged me during the free trial period, took points out of my GM account during the free trial period and charged me after a cancellation but did refund me $6.00 for who knows what. And this was on 2 vehicles. Never did get either vehicle correct and they could not even merge the 2 accounts. One of the worst run arounds I ever got. Vehicles are fine, OnStar is horrible. Others I've talked to also have horror stories with OnStar.

You just don’t get it do you I can press the OnStar button I can call the 800 number but your reps ask the most ridiculous questions to verify who I am. I can understand you asking me the last four digits of my Social Security, my secret passcode or my four digit passcode whatever the hell you guys call it, but you don’t need to know what dealer I bought my car at that has nothing to do with canceling my Freaking Onstar And why does it take four phone calls to cancel Onstar we’re done with Onstar. We’re never using it again we have worked for GM for over 40 years and Onstar is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with my cable company is easier to deal with my gas company is easier to deal with that’s how difficult FREAKING on Star is
