Weather watches and warnings?

Are you supposed to receive these as part of the crisis assist package? When driving through severe weather areas, should you not get a live notice about watches, warnings or local travel advisories as they pertain? Through Google Maps? Or is this not part of the system? Or I'm looking for something that isn't available. Customer service has been no help.

Other vehicles I have had have done this as part of SXM travel app. I don't see that applying here....
