I am having same issue. Purchased my 2022 Silverado 1500 back in November and was going to setup Onstar until noticed the light was not on nor working. Did research online and determined this was known, on-going issue with GM. So took to Chevy dealership where bought and they did a diagnostic and told me exactly what I had already informed them over phone issue was. They stated that GM would not cover an Onstar issue. And would be $1000 to replace module. I declined and had to pay $250 for diagnostic. Completely unacceptable, why cannot GM and Onstar come up with plan to fix an ongoing issue? Making paying customers pay for a know issue is just wrong. Needless to say I have no GPS, no wifi, and the clock continues to be delayed.
