I activated my digital beta test yesterday. The instructions were clear and activation was easy. Once the digital key was added to my Apple Wallet, having my phone with me was exactly the same as having my key with me.

I have a 2026 Yukon Denali. I have the Key Card. But, can I beta test the Digital Key so I can use my iPhone as key? I beta test iOS and would love to jump in here.

Thanks for reaching out. Please know that the initial Digital Key release is only available to a select group of customers who are selected to participate. This testing is reserved for a limited group of Cadillac MY26 LYRIQ and OPTIQ owners who meet the eligibility requirements. There will be an email campaign launched to the testers with more information. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Enabling the Digital Key with your phone works by following these steps in the app:
Open or download the latest version of the app on your phone.
Confirm you’re using the latest device operating system.
- Apple: iOS 26 (to confirm this, go to Settings > General > About)
- Android: Android 16 (to confirm this, go to Settings > About Phone)
Select the “Add key to device wallet” widget.
- If you don’t see the widget, go to the Controls tab and select the Keys icon, then tap “Add key.”
To continue, make sure:
- Bluetooth is turned on.
- Your phone and key fob are in the vehicle.
- Your vehicle is on and in PARK with the doors closed.
Follow prompts to pair your phone with digital key.
When successful, your key will appear in your device’s wallet.
Verify that digital key works by exiting the vehicle and using your phone to unlock, lock, or start your vehicle without the key fob.

Hey StuartN, were you able to get this set up? I also just took delivery of my 26 Lyriq Signature Luxury model and have not been able to figure it out. This is also one of my deciding features for my purchase.

Is there a way to sign up for this on my new 2026?
I'm ready to just return the car if this isn't actually available.- StuartNNew Contributor II
My car is 2 weeks old and a I have been told it’s only a beta program and I missed it. I am also pissed off. Terrible since I was provided instructions to enable twice to no avail.

Yea, this seems to be a problem at GMC. I’ve talked to 6-7 people at GMC and every single one of them has a different answer. At one point, I spent 30 minutes on the phone with OnStar for them trying to troubleshoot why I couldn’t activate it cause they thought the feature was already released. They elevated it to a tier 2 technician who research for about a week before telling me, “the feature is not out.” I’ve also spoken to others at GMC who said the feature is not ever gonna be released. So, who knows at this point????
