2025 Buick Enclave - Ongoing OnStar / Battery Drain Issue

Hi everyone, I’m posting to see if anyone else has been dealing with the same issue. I have a 2025 Buick Enclave that I purchased brand new about nine months ago. From the start, I’ve had recurring problems with the OnStar system and a total loss of power. The vehicle has repeatedly gone dead or failed to start. The dealer told me it’s related to a defective OnStar (telematics) module that’s been draining the battery and preventing the system from going into sleep mode. My Enclave has now spent over 30 days in the shop, and we’ve had a case open with GM for weeks — but there still isn’t a confirmed fix or part available.  We have been enduring these issues while our brand new Enclave sits in the shop, and we have not received answers (from Buick or the dealer) for how it will be resolved.

I wanted to share this in case other owners are experiencing similar problems or have received any updates or resolutions from GM. If anyone from Buick or GMC sees this, please reach out — I’d really like to get this resolved.

I have 2025 Buick Enclave as well. It started with On Star n navigation failing completely. They put in new OnStar telematics module and within about 2 months now battery completely dead overnight. Got it back to dealer and they are checking things out now. I have just also found on google search that the BCM. Bdy control module can have ether a short circuit or Parasytic draw. Which can lead to sporadic battery draw down as well. I’m calling dealer tomorrow to see if they checked the BCM as well.
I have also sent an email to GM CEO Mary Barra  email ( [email protected] )this last weekend and she had an Exucutive administrative assistant reach out to me on Monday already.
There are different lemon laws in different states. You need to check with them to see if you vehicle may qualify for that as well. I’m sure hoping they get mine resolved I really like GM but this is leaving a very bad taste with me to say the least.

We just purchased a used 2025 Buick Enclave Avenir. We too have found that our battery will not stay charged overnight. We are just day one into our purchase. The dealer has no idea when this part is available although our dealer did say that he would give us a rental car free of charge. He has no idea how long we will use the rental car. But our new purchase will remain at the dealership. We had no idea there were so many people out there with the same problem.  My question is why did the dealer let us leave knowing that this car needed the module.  They knew it needed one, knew they did not know when we would ever receive one and they still let us drive away!  What have others done as recourse? Is there recourse?  Other than a drawn out class action?  We will never br made whole.  This is fraud!

  • My 2025 is completely dead due to bad OnStar module. It won’t even detect the key to jump start it so I am stranded in my 2025 Buick Enclave that has 13,000 miles on it. My navigation and google assistant hasn’t been working for several months but I thought I was doing something wrong and I got a new phone. I finally contacted them 2 days ago and they said it was a bad Onstar module and to take it to GM Dealer for warranty repair. Yesterday it was completely dead. Jumped it and then it’s dead again and it won’t detect the key to start it with a jump. I’m completely stranded. This is ridiculous!!!!!
