EV features removed from app
FINAL WORD FROM ONSTAR/GM
Well, I've got the final answer from GM/OnStar. It appears that all versions of the myChevrolet app since 7.6.0 implement "the new format for hybrid vehicles". We're all SOL. As others have pointed out in this forum thread, GM clearly doesn't care at all about any of us Volt owners and early adopters.
I have contacted OnStar to cancel my subscription, and I strongly encourage everyone else to do the same. My current Chevy 2017 Volt is the last automobile I will ever purchase from GM. Since I'll be taking no further action on this matter, I anticipate this will be my final post in this thread.
Below is the exact text of the email I received from the EV Concierge (who was actually a delight to speak with and very helpful in finally getting to the bottom of this; she deserves credit for good customer service). I should add: the "attached images" she refers to were too low-res and blurry for me to bother including, but the screen shots do confirm that the dumbed-down interface we're seeing is what they're foisting off on us with all versions of the app since 7.6.0.

Thank for you providing the images and an update! I was under the impression you weren't able to see any charge information for your vehicle. I apologize if I misunderstood.
What you are viewing in the app is the new format for hybrid vehicles. You will be able to view the charge status on the Home page in the upper left corner, but no additional charge management features are available for your vehicle; Charge Status Notifications and a link to an EV Map are no longer available.
I've attached an image from our developers confirming these changes.
I'm very sorry if the features in the app are unsatisfactory compared to what was previously available. Any feedback you'd like to provide will be documented in the case.
