Climate control removed from app?!
I’m sorry you’re experiencing the same thing I am. I’ve contacted GM and was directed towards Onstar. I’ve had several cases with Onstar opened to no resolve. I received an email from a specialist today saying that all though the feature was working before on the app, it wasn’t really working. They also claimed that my vehicle isn’t equipped for remote climate feature. 2025 Sierra Denali’s are definitely equipped! Opened yet another case with Onstar today as well.
The response I received from “ tier 3” on star technician was that while the feature was available to me at the initial purchase of my vehicle it was taken away with an app update because my generation (Gen 11) of vehicle doesn’t get that feature. I explained to the agent that that response was unacceptable and to escalate it further, she stated that was as far as she could escalate it, so I kindly reminded her of millions of followers on my social media platforms and I will be exposing this scam and exposing OnStar and GM together in one of my next videos unless it’s resolved & added back as a feature to vehicles 2023 and up in the next app release.
I don’t allow any company to take advantage of me large or small.
ask me how I got a full refund on a $30k tractor & a free tractor from a manufacturer that refused to acknowledge issues I brought up to them.
I’m giving them a chance to make it right before I expose them for them.

Furthering my research look what I found regarding “Gen 11”
For 2025 and newer GM vehicles (including those with Gen 11 OnStar features), OnStar Basics are standard and include features that can contribute to your comfort:
- Remote Commands: You can use a mobile app (like myChevrolet or myGMC) to remotely start your vehicle and prepare the cabin for your desired temperature before you even get in. You can also remotely lock/unlock your vehicle and check its status

What makes no sense to me if its not ment for their current year/previous year vehicles (2024 and 2023) then which vehicle is it ment for lol if not their latest vehicles produced. They're just shooting themselves in the foot with this stupidity. Same with the lies of them saying its not compatible with my truck it worked without issues other then issues from the idiot making the decisions

Unfortunately I’m still waiting for the climate control issue to be corrected by Onstar! It’s been extremely frustrating that the blame had been put on GM/ Dealer and the matter is on Onstar. I spoke to the general manager at my dealer and I was informed that the matter is definitely with Onstar and I was asked to give them a little time. My response was “Give them time???? If I miss a payment, I don’t get a little time!”

Not a **bleep** thing has come of it yet! OnStar offered me six months of full free, premium service, but has yet to deliver a **bleep** thing!!
**bleep** onstar, Their lies, Bull**bleep** claims & empty promises!!
The feature did come back momentarily for one day in January so that tells me that they are just **bleep**ing with people at this point! I think a class action lawsuit should be in order.- Larry7320 days agoNew Contributor III
