Need assistance

I’m a new Chevy Malibu owner and basically don’t knew much about it so I try to get my onstar step up but it ain’t working and I don’t know why it saying that it’s not connected to onstar

    After you purchase a GM vehicle equipped with OnStar, all you need to do is push the blue OnStar button in your vehicle to activate services. Be sure you have power to the vehicle and that it is stationary and parked. From there, an enrollment advisor will be happy to assist you with setting up an account and enrolling you in an OnStar plan that best fits your needs.
