Invalid password in the car
My chevy car prompts me for the password every day to resume connected services. I entered same password as in my app and get Invalid password. Which passoword does it ask for? What website can I use to reset it?

That's a great question, Jenna. Our team would be happy to walk you through the process of resetting your password on your mobile app. For your awareness, when completing this process, we do recommend using the same device throughout (ex. sending the email verification from your phone and then opening the email in your phone's email app). This avoids any potential hiccups with the verification process. We have listed the steps below. If you continue to encounter difficulties after completing these, please don't hesitate to send us an email at socialmedia@gm.com, for further troubleshooting. Make sure to put, "ATTN:OS Community/jennadzitsiuk," in the subject line so we can locate your message efficiently.
Reset Password:
1. Open the mobile app and toggle to the "forgot password," button.
2. Enter the email address associated to your MyChevrolet/OnStar account into the form and click "Send Verification."
3. You should receive a 6-digit code in your inbox.
4. Return to the app and enter that code into the box provided and click "Submit."
5. You may enter your new password into the field provided and then click "Continue."
6. You will now be prompted to sign-in with your new password.

This answer doesn't seem to address the issue presented by the original poster, imo. I'd be interested in an update. To me, their password works on their device in the myChevrolet app, but, in their car, the password is not accepted by the car as valid for the password the car keeps requesting. How does resetting the password on the app help?

We see your point and would be more than happy to expand on our previous comment, Paul. When creating a User Profile on your infotainment system, it is important to utilize the same credentials that were used to create their Owner Center profile. If a Member is receiving a message that states the password entered is incorrect, this could be due to an error on the back end, or the expiration of the User Profile. For the best assistance, our team recommends sending a private message to troubleshoot this concern together for the best and most swift resolution.
