Telematic Control Module needs replacement, but backordered with no ETA?! UNACCEPTABLE
$97,000 GMC 3500 Denali that sits in the driveway unable to be used for what I bought it for...TOWING! Why? The faulty Telematic Control Module causes the trailer lights and brakes to not work. How silly is that! Found this out the hard way by getting pulled over and luckily without incident. Not having Onstar or navigation is one thing but not being able to safely tow is a much bigger issue. So now my Sierra with 7,700 miles on on it sits while I borrow or rent a tow vehicle to be able to tow trailers for work. Dealer's hands are tied and can't get mad at them for GM's complete irresponsibility on this. Once accidents and injuries happen (if they haven't already) hopefully this will get resolved. Meanwhile the frustration is building
Dang, I’m now a newbie to the group. Had my 2023 GMC Sierra AT4 in yesterday and received the same “bad telematics module” diagnosis. Hopefully we all will get some relief soon. I was given the okay to drive it, I let my onstar subscription expire and won’t be towing my boat for a couple of weeks so fingers crossed the parts Start to ship soon.

I have the same issue with my 2022 Sierra AT4. The last time my truck registered with MyGMC App was around 40,000 miles. Luckily I have been using my phone for GPS and this hasn't affected how my car drives. It would be nice if my $80,000 truck didn't have as many issues that I have experienced since owning my truck. I've had 4 Sierra's a 2014, 2015 Denali, 2019 AT4, nd my 2022 AT4 and with this truck I have had by far the most headaches.
