Data privacy issue?

I recently purchased a certified pre-owned Cadillac that includes a 30-day free OnStar trial. I activated the OnStar trial at the dealership, but declined to give my payment details when the OnStar rep asked me to provide it to have “on file.” A few days later I created my OnStar web account so I could check out the available plans.

When I navigate to Payments & History > Payment history, a list of OnStar services the previous vehicle owner purchased shows up. In my case, it shows “Unlimited Data Plan.” When I click one of the entries I see the previous owner’s full name, address, account number, receipt number, payment date, type of credit card they used (Visa) and the last four digits of their credit card.

Can any of you who purchased a used vehicle see the same thing as I’m seeing? I would think this is a serious data privacy issue.
