I agree—This is complete bull$hit. You received a bull$hit reply to an unnecessary and therefore bull$hit change to the functionality of your vehicle. There is no reason to limit consumer choice here. The vehicle is clearly capable of utilizing the existing Alexa built-in app successfully. Now owners are forced to use Google? No way. Ridiculous. These are not comparable. I performed an OTA update without knowing that it would strip me of Alexa in vehicle, which is one of its most useful features. Now I apparently need to go back to the dealer to demand a “rollback” of the software. Please restore access and freedom of choice to all.
