2024 Chevy Equinox EV - don't take the SW update

Was always nervous about taking ownership of a GM car.  I did because car was so much different then any other GM I had been in.  The first few months were really proving me wrong, great car ...........

This just happened to us.  We initiated the update when prompted and then our Wi-Fi hotspot stopped working.  No traffic updates, no Spotify.  At the same time we are being solicited to bring in the car for routine maintenance at 2,500 miles.

    The hotspot started working again after a week.  When the car turned on, I was prompted to choose a data plan.  Originally I ignored this because I had a data plan already and didnt want to buy another one.  But out of curiosity I pressed select data plan, and then I was able to select the plan that I already had, which was good through the end of '27.  By pressing that data plan, I was not charged, and all functionality returned.
